Meter proving and calibration
We test meters in accordance with all applicable codes and standards, the type approval certificate and the customer’s specifications and requirements.
We will perform all tests with the maximum possible accuracy and utmost care be it according to German weights and measures law, the European Measuring Instruments Directive (MID), ISO/IEC 17025 or according to specific standards such as ISO 17089 or AGA9 (USM). As a state-approved GNW 45 test facility, pigsar™ is used for proving turbine, ultrasonic and vortex flowmeters installed at custody transfer points in accordance with the German Weights and Measures Act.
pigsar™ has been accredited by DAkkS (Germany’s national accreditation body) according to ISO/IEC 17025 for the measurands "volumetric flow" and "mass flow". The test results are recognised around the world. You can find our accreditation certificate in the Download section.

Under PTB supervision we also perform tests for which PTB certificates and the PTB label are then issued.
