Measurement uncertainty
A low uncertainty is crucial to our customers, as the measured values of the gas meters are used for billing and often also serve as the basis for important operational processes.
All measurement variables used at pigsar™ can be traced back to the SI base units metre, second, kilogramme and Kelvin.
Thanks to direct access to the national standards of the PTB and the special design of the test facility, we can provide a very low (extended) measurement uncertainty for volumetric gas flowmeters (turbine, ultrasonic and vortex-shedding flowmeters) of
- U95 % = 0.13 to 0.16 % (depending on flow between Qa = 8 and 7,200 m³/h)
- U95 %, max = 0.26 % for Qa = 3 m³/h
The measurement uncertainty for mass flowmeters is
- U95 % = 0.16 to 0.26 % (depending on flow between 40 and 300,000 kg/h)
